The Department of Economics and Business organized an information session for students about the UP 3.0 Junior Incubation Program.
The guest, Mr. Gerion Treska explained to the students that Junior UP 3.0 has opened the call for applications for young people who have a business idea or those who are in the first stages of a startup and intend to improve it.
"Until now, 7 startups have been financially supported, while with expertise and mentoring there are over 30 startups", said Mr. Cod.
The students were active by asking questions to the guest and the possibilities of applying to the incubation program.

The students of the second year of the Economic Informatics program integrated the knowledge gained in three subjects: "Data base", "Web programming" and "e-Commerce" by concretizing them in a joint project.
The students designed their online business by applying the knowledge gained in the e-commerce course, designed its database according to the techniques studied in the database course and created its website within the web programming course. All the work was done following the instructions and guidance of the lecturers of each subject. In this way, the students practiced the knowledge gained in the auditorium in concrete initiatives, they practiced in the design of the database and the creation of the website as well as they began to think creatively to devise their online business.
This approach helps and encourages students to undertake entrepreneurial initiatives using the facilities offered by the Internet and Information and Communication Technology, the optimal combination of theory and practice, in accordance with the purpose of this study program.
General Secretary of AAB, Mr. Spiro Brumbulli through the open lecture on "Banking Industry: Current situation, challenges and opportunities" introduced the students of the Department of Economics and Business at Bedër University College in detail to the banking sector in Albania and beyond. In his speech, Mr. Brumbulli presented the students with detailed information and facts about the progress and dynamics of the banking sector and introduced the participants to digitalization, open banking, industry trends and the essential role of financial education. We thank the professor for his expertise and are enthusiastic about further collaborations.
The Department of Economics and Business organized the awarding ceremony for the winners of two competitions organized with high school graduates across the country.
The winner of the Essay competition was Eneida Shehu from the "Technical Economics" high school in Tirana, who is now a student in the Department of Economics and Business. Eneida won a laptop and a full scholarship to the Finance and Accounting program.
Also, Andi Zylali from Madrasa "Lirija" in Elbasan was the winner of the Entreprethon competition, organized by the student club "Entrepreneurship and Innovation" with the support of the Department of Economics and Business. Andi won a smart watch and a full scholarship to the Economic Informatics program.

Second-year students of Economic Informatics are participating in the International Competition "Susilo Business+ Ethics Case Competition", organized by Boston University Questrom School of Business.
At the beginning of the competition students were given the case study of a robotics company "Artimus". They had to do studies about the market, business ethics, data analysis and present them to an international jury.
During the 8 weeks the students worked on the case doing extensive research and analysis to prepare their presentation. Their serious preparation and dedication they showed during the presentation was positively evaluated by the jury. "Well done, keep in touch for the next week!", the jury members said to our students.
Our students managed to be in the top 10 teams, which made it to the semi-finals. They are one step away from the grand FINALS, which will welcome the top 5 teams to Singapore.
21 universities from different countries participated in the international competition.

The Department of Economy and Business in cooperation with the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Club at the "Beder" University College participated in the second edition of the Technology Fair, which took place in Tirana on November 2-3.
Students of the Department of Economics and Business participated in discussion panels and had the opportunity to meet up close institutions, businesses, investors, media and entrepreneurs from whom they learned and explored opportunities for their professional future.
Economic informatics students participated in a workshop organized by Raiffeizen Bank. The purpose of this workshop was to focus on young people and the use of technology in banking systems.
During the workshop, students exchanged information, argued ideas and shared opinions. The use of creative games helped to develop critical thinking in students and encourage cooperation.
They faced the challenges of using technology in the banking system and offered their thoughts on their solution, focusing on the customer and their service.
At the end of the activity, the students received some symbolic gifts from the bank.
